One thing I've read is that there is a very large discrepancy between the number of Gov votes in Broward and the number of Senate votes. Either an incredibly unusual and out of trend number of voters left the Senate part blank, the machines hosed up and just straight up miscounted, or people systematically marked the ballot in a way that the machines aren't looking for. Both of the latter two could be enough to swing things in a hand recount.

Based on the Broward ballot someone posted earlier I wouldn't be surprised if they just left it blank. The selection of senator was in the bottom-left corner jammed between the voting instructions and an incumbent-only race.

AlBorlantern Corps posted:I think I've missed something. I know it was at +3-4, and expected Arizona to flip to make it +2-3, but what else flipped to make it 1-2? Is that referring to Montana results coming in earlier today? Some people were real worried about MT and saying we could lose it, though some of us were more confident. At any rate, It's currently 51-46 with three to go; Arizona, Florida, and Mississippi. So it could theoretically be anywhere from 51-49 to 54-46 in favor of the GOP. AZ is looking increasingly Sinema-leaning tonight, whilst Mississippi's special election has gnoe to a runoff and will be decided in a couple of weeks IIRC, but I don't see that going Dem. Florida's going to a hand recount because it's that close, probably still going with Rick "They're trying to steal my seat by counting all the ballots!" Scott, but hope springs eternal. I guess it depends on how many ballots that Scott tried to suppress come to light and get counted. So my money is on 53-47, winning AZ but losing the other two yet to be settled; whether you count that as being +2-3 or +1-2 is an exercise I leave to your own discretion.
