The Architects album is gonna have to be real loving good to beat this I really wanted to like this, as I'm a huge fan of their other material, but the heavy reliance on the clean vocalist makes this new one just sound kind of bland to me. I got "The Flood" era Of Mice & Men vibes from it and I'm cool with only one of that album existing. The other vocalist is still a blast to listen to though.

Oceans Ate Alaska crushed it just now. Tiny rear end venue, for real like 80 people at capacity. Place sucked, crowd sucked (lol Indiana), sets were good. It was Novelists first ever show on US soil, and they seemed so grateful to be there it was adorable. Phinehas were OK even though they preached and didn’t play Dark Flag. OAA fuckin ripped though holy poo poo wow those guys wow. Like Moths to Flames are playing now, I guess. They suck so we bounced. i'm still burned by the overall letdown that Jesus Piece recently put out after i was hard as a rock over the few songs they put out. but unearth are dudes in their late 30s early 40s(?) and i'm confident they know what they're doing at this point. will be a contender for AOTY for sure. when is AILD releasing new poo poo, btw?
