I have no idea what Neeson does with his accent these days. In most of his movies lately he sounds like he's just using his natural "tired old man from Ballymena" voice but then he puts a kind of Texas twang on certain words. It's strange.

I had no idea that SyFy was doing a series based on creepypasta, let alone that series 4 is starting tonight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnyNA5YM9UQ I may wait for revues because SyFy has hurt me in the past. However, from what I've seen for the earlier series the 1st was generally OK to not so good, with a big spike in "hey, this is not so bad" to "pretty good" for S02 and S03. Also, Pretzel Jack is being played by this dude: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njWL8woekB8

I'm certain I've seen something about cowboy-era zombies before, if it was a movie it was probably on SyFy. Or maybe I'm just dimly remembering parts of Priest.

There's a Danny Trejo movie where he plays the leader of a gang of Wild West bandits who is murdered by his lieutenant/brother (Anthony Michael Hall) and is sent back to take them down as a revenant by Satan (Mickey Rourke).

I'm not sure a low-budget b-movie could live up to that description, but... I guess that's the point of a low-budget b-movie. I'll put that on my watchlist for the day I end up wanting something dumb and possibly fun.

Gallowwalkers was an undead cowboy movie that got its release delayed for years when Wesley Snipes went to prison. It's super low budget and choppy but has a couple of decent scenes, IIRC.

I mostly love period piece horror because it's so rare. Watched the Apostle on netflix last night and while it was light on the horror, it was fun. I remember once renting the wild west ghost house movie Dead Birds years ago, but can't remember much beyond finding it confusing.

Appropos of nothing, the firstRocky Balboa trailer might just be one of the best trailers I've ever seen. I've watched it dozens of times of the past couple of years. Visuals, rhythm, sound design... it's just so goddamn satisfying and emotional. Then again, I've never actually seen the movie, so maybe the trailer was actually terrible, since I feel like I'm satisfied by the end of it.

A (metaphorical) gauntlet is dropped, two fighters with something to prove, vastly different training regime, and some of the finest choreographed punchy-mans boxing sequences on film. I haven't seen it either, but I was curious and I was somewhat surprised that is has a 70+% on Rotten Tomatoes. I may queue it up one day if I run out of other stuff to watch.
