So I got all achievements for this last week, the game was super enjoyable and my first DQ game. I'm looking forward to trying out some of the older ones! Today I found out that (final boss spoilers) you can actually use the Super Sword of Light to dispel the dark aura around Calasmos. I thought that was just flavour text. I already thought it was way too ridiculous of a final boss considering everyone was level 99 with almost all the best evolutionary weapons and upgraded armour.

I wanna plat it as a sign of respect but the cheves I have left are the casino one, the archery one, and then maxing out everyone’s sphere grid. I think I’d rather just move on

Those ones aren't that bad at all, an hour or two tops. All clothing one is the worst.

the tentacular was a real pain in the rear end on harder monsters but i beat him by completely respecing veronica [got her vim ability that doubles her magic power] and sylvando to get hustle dance since (u can go thru the lithness tree to get the first showmanship piece, then respc the lithness for more showmanship points. that's life hax folks. everyone probably figured that out 2 months ago, also].no one else has an aoe heal spell at level 24-25 yet. i forgot to use sylvandos spare points to buy his slap skill again tho oops. veronica only died once and i only had to use 5 ofthe 7 magic waters i had epic. the twisteh army marches fuken on

I don't remember needing to do this much preparing and strategizing for even the endgame fights in dq8 and its a lot of fun

i turned off shypox after gettting it like 5 times on one item seller. gently caress this poo poo! i'm keeping harder monsters and no exp from weak mons on tho since nothing has beeen as insanely difficult as the tentacular
