Honestly the number of times I've heard someone talk in any BF game can be counted on one hand, people are either in a party or dont have a mic plugged in. I've never heard anyone talk in BFV yet.

I had a really good pubbie on my squad today, with his communication we dominated, but then he quit after one game and it was even more frustrating to play after getting a glimpse of some actual teamwork. I never play any game regularly enough to make gaming friends.

I met a full squad of lovely pubbies who all had mics today. The funny thing is, no one bothered talking until I asked the squad leader to call in a rocket. After that ice breaker we made an excellent squad.

Complete silence until I made a callout or raged about something and then suddenly everyone's like "oh yeah we can talk to each other."

The MG34 feels like hot garbage, I hope the specialisations make a difference. A miserable 50 rounds and being no more effective prone/deployed than a KE7 in ADS is a sad state of affairs.

Both the Mg34 and 42 and extremelly good once properly upgraded and with a good position. You really need to step down from the frontline and play more "dirty" but you can mow down entire squads before they notice you. Being said I'm more of a run/gun guy so the Bren and Lewis are more up my alley.

I haven't found any gun to be overwhelmingly annoying like the hellreigel in BF1 yet. A deployed mg34/42 is good but staying prone is a great way to get domed. I always play objectives so MMGs dont fit my playstyle at all. What I love about BFV so far is that tanks are easily taken care of by assault players, I've destroyed more tanks with panzerfausts than been killed by tanks. But the best thing is how few times I've been killed by planes, which is once. A stuka managed to blow up some barrels at a point that killed me and that's it. A far cry from when planes were farming infantry with darts in BF1. I tried the model 8 and man is it garbage unupgraded. The RoF is terrible combined with the 5 round clip. I loved playing scout in BF1 but I don't think playing aggro scout will be nearly as effective in BFV. Assault and support definitely seem to be the go to classes so far. Edit: I also would trade being able to crouch run for being able to slide easily. I don't ever see a reason to crouch run but I loved sliding around corners in BF1. Someone compare this to BF1 for me please and thanks? I didnt like BF3/BF4 much at all outside of the incredible sound design. BF1 though was super fun and nowhere near as frustrating as the previous few games. Did they somehow make the game sound even better?

Xbros had a party of 8 or 9 last night. Kind of a pain to get us all into one server (and on the same team) but I suspect that will be easier once the game is fully released. Game is good. I don't really mind the changes to spotting. Planes seem to be about the same as BF1. They handle well and interact with the battle much more than they did in 3 and 4. Gun play feels as good as it did in 3 and 4. Graphics got better once I turned off all the post processing, but the snow is still blindingly bright. Don't mind forking over the extra money for the deluxe. I had a great time playing it all weekend while the lady was distracted by Let's Go Pikachu.

Seems the best way to get a big group on the same side (if there is player space) is have people form splinter squads to invite the waiting players. Joining alone doesnt guarantee you make the same team and theres no team swapping option.
