They've been like that for me since the beginning... Also regularly getting messages about "my first 7-day streak" of something, although I've been doing that since it came out too.

I think that's just as janky as it's supposed to be. Seems like the game only tells you it needs a berry via notification if it's getting attacked and even then that's like <50% of the time. In which case you have to go heal it immediately or else it's most likely going to be kicked out in the next 3 minutes. It's like the game needs you to have the app active to get data about its motivation level but they're very adamant about not letting any data go through if your phone is asleep or off the app mostly because they don't want you to get any distance on eggs.

Cresselia seems easier to catch than other legendaries. Although the side-to-side movement is always annoying.

God drat the Meltan quests are such bullshit fetch quests. 10 raids? gently caress off game. I feel bad for people that won't get to the evolve or catch specific pokemon steps, better rack up Grimer candy while you can.

Anything requiring Raids is pretty much something I'll never get. I'm at 3/8 on Mew, because it requires 2 Raids, and I just happened to be in a spot with a gym and a Raid at the beginning of the month.

You'll be happy to know that Page 6 of that quest requires you to battle in 10 raids. And it's the same format for Meltan so 3/8 is 2 raids, 6/8 is 10 raids. I can see how this is bad for people with limited gym availability.

Wasnt there a way to game the raid quest? Go in with all chumps, let them die, wait for the timer to expire, go in fresh? You could get something like 5 raid "counts" off of one raid that way.

Yeah now it counts as soon as you use a raid pass. So if anything if you know you won't be raiding a certain day at least find one, enter the lobby, and leave to get the task credit.

The way you game it now is drive to a raid, start, quit, drive to next. Turns an hour or two into 10 minutes if you want to actually rush it

Kind of like the Regis. Also remember that one of the strongest legendaries, rayquaza, was also the easiest level 5 raid boss to beat.

Headed out to the Ex-Raid I had today with 6 minutes to spare and saw nobody around. Figuring that no one else had a chance to work from home, I decided to take the gym down since they were all at minimum motivation and I'd at least get some coins. To my surprise, there were 7 other participants, all names I recognize from the area, but still not a soul in sight. Spoofers dedicated to the area? Then as I was down to my last 3 Pokeballs, the game froze before the struggle animation started.  Fortunately, turns out it had caught. Given that every time this has happened now, the Pokemon caught, I guess it's more welcome than watching the ball shake twice and then pause long enough that you know it failed, but still not fun to get during an Ex-raid. In the past, Grimer and Ponyta were some of the easier Pokemon to get Excellents on, along with Sandshrew. Shame they got rid of Stantlers just as they would've been useful for something for once.

Talking about difficult raid bosses, windy weather dragon claw Latios loving wiped entire teams so quickly. We had twelve 30+ people at one and we were all on the tail end of our second team before we downed it.
