Like start it really high and have him hit real rock bottom. Like lovely apartment, gets a job at a Kitchen Nightmares level restaurant for a bit before he did the truck.

Because I love LotG and it's good and looks great, but the new Disney remakes are simply stunning in terms of CG. Never read the books, but I imagined something a whole lot less generic looking. Also that's less comedic and younger-skewing than I assumed based on my limited knowledge of the series. It's not like I'm the primary audience but that looks like a serious snooze.
