Anyone get the vestas wind turbine?

I suspect I will get it eventually. But I think I am going to wait and see if I can get it for under $150.

Same, I intend to get it eventually, but I want to wait for a sale and hopefully double points.

Speed champions, doesn't appear to be a $99 set this year, or at least not revealed yet. Senna, F40 are must buys to me, Mini is cool, the dodges are a hard pass.

Ooh that mini is nice. Now I need a blue one and a white one.

To my eye the F40 and the Senna are the ugliest of the bunch. :v:

The Camaro is really well built, and the Dodges are almost studless which is really impressive at that scale.

Sucks the Mini isn't standalone, I don't need yet another crappy "garage."

My 05028 LEPIN YESHIN STAR WNRS STAR PLAN Super Star Destroyer came in yesterday, and i think i got everything i needed and all the pieces look good.

I also go the MOC USC millennium falcon technic stand and I'm super happy to not have to source a billion long technic blocks that i would have needed to build it myself out of Lego. Although I probably have enough in various colors to actually do it.

To be honest, Mini is the only one I really want from this batch, so of course it's the one packaged with a bunch of useless crap so that it can be sold for double the price. :sigh:

Yeah, it's the best car in all of this. The f40 is a good base but needs some mods, I like the Senna as is probably. Most likely I'll wind up getting the dodges because I get speed champions poo poo and well, why not. But the Mini Baja thing is ugly trash and I hate it. It won't get built and will just get put into the parts bins.

More fender bits and slopes is never a bad thing though. Collect all the green, make british racecars.

I just finished the number 3 bags for the Detective's Office and ran into something I don't think I've ever seen before:
You use a couple 99207’s (Black Bracket 1 x 2 - 2 x 2 Inverted) to make arms for a chair in the office. I only had one, though, and instead I had a random 44728 (Black Bracket 1 x 2 - 2 x 2) instead. There should be only one black 44728 in the whole set but it's in the number 4 bags, I even found it in there.

I've never had a piece mistakenly replaced with such a similar one in a sealed set before. Very weird.

I actually had a similar thing happen with the Diner (my only modular by the way). There was one 1x4 plate that was supposed to be in light grey but was in dark grey. Quite odd as I've never had a missing or incorrect part in any set before or since.

The review I read was pretty negative.

However, this is a case where a redesign was sorely needed. And the new model has already been redesigned in a half-dozen small ways; why not take an extra step and properly fix it?

However, the real sinker here is the price. At $199.99 USD for 826 pieces, there’s no soft way to say it: the set is grossly overpriced.

Lego city advent calendar is on sale in many retail stores here. Has a Santa and a buildable tree plus more figures. Goes for 7-10€. Maybe you get lucky at your place, too

Where are you seeing it that cheap? I’ve looked a few places around Berlin and €15 is the cheapest I’ve seen.

Not in the big citys like Berlin or Munich, but check on mydealz and search for lego. Marktkauf is selling them off cheap in some places apparently.

I got the whateverlepincallsitselfnow version a while back when the turbine was a limited never to be re-released set and it's a nice set, sort of. There's definitely room for improvement on the design...but a 200 dollar price tag you're paying for the limited edition super special factor that no longer exists

It is over 2500 pieces.

It’ll look good with the rest of the street, but as a stand-alone it’s not too exciting.

And it will still be a day 1 purchase for me.

Looks good. I like it. Makes a Creator Mustang in the vein of the Aston DB5 more likely as well, since the original leak mentioned that as well.

I am surprised that with their push to "Green" stuff they are doing a gas station.

Also $200 is a huge increase in price for no increase in pieces over the diner.
