Now that you mention it I remember something similar, Ruby's suit head arriving in the mail and it turned out awful so she got a new one. Years back, YouTube recommended pewdiepie to me. I like watching people be funny as they play video games, and he's popular, so let's see if I like him! I went through his channel and picked something, at random to start with. Some Alice in Wonderland game where you play as Alice, sure. Early on, Alice got blood on her dress, and pewdiepie made a joke about EWWWWW I'M HAVING MY PERIOD. And then he kept making the joke. Repeatedly. Non-stop OH GOD PERIOD BLOOD IT'S EVERYWHERE. I'm a ladygoon, let's be clear. I bleed from my genitals regularly and while it can be mildly gross and sometimes painful, it's also as much of a normal part of life as blowing my nose and peeing. Little boys running around yelling about how periods are the grossest thing ever got old twenty years ago, for me. First time pewdiepie made that joke, I rolled my eyes. As it continued, I turned him off, and later instructed YouTube not to recommend him to me anymore, which I rarely bother to do. If he's on one side of the culture war, then I'm pretty sure I should be on the other.
