True. Though hormonal differences between the genders lead to differences in skin thickness, pore size, etc that can have an impact on how you want to paint it.
Though honestly it would depend more on the musculature of the minis; if you want to emphasis muscles you would make the shadows and highlights more stark, if you wanted to emphasis smoothness you will go with softer shadows and more blending. Since most miniatures emphasis the muscles of male characters, you tend to do with different painting techniques there. Though it isn't a hard and fast rule that is tied to gender; there are more muscular female characters and male characters who don't have as defined musculature.

So, in addition to being a fascist, you're a creepy misogynist. I shouldn't be surprised, those tend to go hand-in-hand.

That part is true, skin thickness and pore size is a real difference, there are also differences in elasticity. It's actually a pretty noticeable thing if you look at MtF people on HRT

Here's a paper on skin thickness for example.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27273751

You're talking about a difference that won't really play at the mini scale though, it kinda just comes down to women's skin has less natural oils, more likely to be able to make out veins due to thinner skin being more translucent, and being a smidge fairer skinned in general.

It's still loving human skin though, don't know why any idiot would want to act like it's so different and requires differences in how you paint it.

Haha, pretty much. Skin tones are fun to play around with, and there is a lot to learn about them from the art world (even if half that poo poo don't apply to miniatures like moths said). They are also really easy to gently caress up: since we see examples in other people and ourselves every day, it can be easy to point out what is wrong with a paint job.

While the way it was put was really creepy, it's similar to advice you get in art and portraiture a lot. I'd say it's partially based on biology and partially on people's conception of how men and women are supposed to look.

Women naturally carry a higher proportion of body fat, which fills in crags where you would get deep, stark shadows, so it tends to look 'off' when a woman is depicted artistically with very high contrast in their skin or very sharp angles.

That said, the concept of feminine beauty people hold is a bit more 'fragile' and while you can get away with a man's face and skin having unrealistically high contrast and look more 'rugged' people will immediately jump on a female face or form having unrealistically stark or exaggerated shadows. Not necessarily fair or reasonable, but it's kinda a reality of how we perceive people.

For example, in that bust(putting aside that she's a flasher, while that skin looks like poo poo with a female face, your typical exaggerated male face with a larger mouth , the darker muzzle would get rationalized as stubble, and you could probably get away on that much contrast on pectoral cleavage, compared to the softer contrast you'd expect from less softly curved skin. I'm realizing this is sounding a bit... overly frank, but once you've done nude drawing/painting a few times you get a little indelicate about describing stuff like this.

I mostly say that as in opposition to the more sharply curved skin of the chiseled pectoral of a maaaaaaaaale.

It gets kinda disturbingly clinical in a life drawing session and it's hard to really convey the difference between the necessary objectification and disconnect between body and person you need to discuss the negative space around somebody's balls or the distribution of fat deposits on their hips and stomach from someone drooling at model tits using purely text.

Tldr: the discussions of artists drawing naked people are a bit surreal and weird.

To draw a person with clothes well, you draw a naked person first then add clothes. Also artists are a bunch of weirdos. The art building bathrooms always have the best graffiti.
