This Torono episode is rapidly devolving into an episode of Meet My Friends the Friends.

I’m gonna risk getting yelled at here but last week’s episode did not actually contain the greatest moment in Best Show history as Tom claims. It was an overall OK show and the ending was amusing but not to that degree.

Tom's in Toronto because he's working on the What We Do in the Shadows series.

I never set out to be weird. It was always other people who called me weird.

Agree. I heard everyone singing its praises but then I listened and I was just like, “...huh?”

I'm finally in a spot where I can listen to podcasts again and I've been catching up on months of stuff I missed.

Despite an abnormal amount of negativity lately, I still think this show is a national treasure. It's definitely not peak WMFU days, without it being over the air the number of funny callers has gone way down, but Tom will never not be pretty much the funniest person on earth to me.

Concede on the hoagie issue and then quietly transition into using “nem” in every other sentence.

I walked a couple blocks to a sandwich shop listening to the call from right around the Mayoral election where Roy talks about seeing the pope on acid and throwing batteries wrapped in peeps at Sarah Palin's daughter because they had an amazing sounding italian hoagie and I got there and they were out of hoagies and I'm so mad

Tom is living in Toronto for now and I keep hoping to run into him somewhere, like getting doubles or at a show. I looked for him at hosed Up on Friday but didn't see him. To be fair it was packed and I am short.

I still listen but nobody posts itt much so I just enjoy it quietly

She's the first caller, then calls in again maybe half an hour later. The first call is where it's really off the rails, the second one she just wants to plug the lesbian wrestling porn site she likes.

I live near Durham and will be taking donations to go see a Laurie standup set.

I hope Tom comes back soon or at least they figure out the Toronto connection quality issues.

Not yet, though she has mentioned wanting to get into comedy. The joke she workshopped on the call this week does not make me optimistic about her chances of success.

I like that Tom owns a Switch and clearly plays it more than he's willing to lead on.

Impressive he was able to beat Legend of Zeldo in just 2 hours while he was doing something else though.

My iTunes will sometimes randomly drop an old episode of a podcast into my Unplayed folder. I don't know why. But today it dropped an episode of Meet My Friends the Friends and I got excited as hell until I realized it was another glitch. Please come back, MMFTF :(

I listened to the whole thing and I can't remember that at all so he must've followed the playbook expertly.

Pat's friend was amazing though, hope he's back at some point.

"Lemme call in and act so depressing on this comedy show that the host feels bad booting my rear end and has to give earnest advice". at least Kat doesn't call much anymore.

The Guns and Roses call had me dying. Overall a really funny episode other than previously mentioned guy dragging the vibe down for 15 minutes.

I don't blame him especially since he is living and spending a lot of his time downtown, downtown Toronto sucks the same as any other big city downtown
