PublicOpinion posted:The December 1st TJPW show is up on Universe and the main event kicked rear end. Can't wait for Jan 4, the upper card will be completely on fire. Strongly recommending this match. If both Ito and Tanahashi lose on 1.4 then there's proof that God hates us. Also the Mina Shirakawa/Reika Saiki match was noticeably rough even on a show that featured a 14 year old's debut match. Not sure who they're trying to fool saying Mina has Japan's best body when she's the ring with Reika.

I wonder why Stardom never run big shows in Yokohama Bunka Gymnasium when they're there. OZ Academy drew 2000 last time they were there and I'm sure Stardom could do somewhere around there.

I was debating posting this in the NXT thread or here, but I think its more suited to here: Dave apparently mentioned in the latest newsletter that STARDOM will no longer work with talent contracted to NXT UK. Because STARDOM wants top priority for the talents supposedly? And control over the talents creative direction. Honestly while I'm fine with that, it isn't going to stop WWE from poaching STARDOM talent if they want someone. It feels more like Rossy is probably pissed off that WWE is seemingly going to work with Meiko's promotion over STARDOM. I mean I guess STARDOM apparently locked down a few names into contracts after Io left as well. Although there are only a few STARDOM names I could see WWE being interested in at some point in the future. Hazuki (because she's admitted in a blog post talking about the WWE house show she went to, that her goal is to eventually be in WWE), Mayu, and probably Konami (due to her being Asuka's sole apprentice). I'm kinda glad that Stardom is choosing not to work with WWE and am similarly wondering when WWE will poach TJPW and Sendai Girls talent. Reika Saika could be a better Dana Brooke in WWE.

I mean I don't think many people thought that WWE would enter a partnership with STARDOM anyways. Stardom regularly does some skeevy things that would likely raise eyebrows with stockholders, and there is the whole underage wrestling thing as well. Regardless, with Kairi and Io in WWE, WWE can likely get whoever they want from STARDOM because of those two. Like I said, I wouldn't be shocked if Mayu is offered a deal next year, just so WWE has all of the top female talents under their roof.

This is the best god drat news. The website is fine for what it is if you just want to keep up with the current stuff, but it could definitely be improved. Because they still tailor to Japan first, and Chromecast isn't exactly popular over there. People in Japan use their phones to watch STARDOM for the most part apparently. Their big payment update coming at the end of January is adding in support for being able to pay using your phone (Japanese carriers only).

She had an actively good match against Hyan only a few matches in. Much better than Barbi Hayden's match against Hyan on Ladies Night Out. I remember bigging her up on DVDVR before the Mae Young Classic. My "should be signed right away" picks for 2019 are Kylie Rae and Willow Nightingale and my "new" up and comer is AQA (aka Angela). Edit: Just to add; Reality of Wrestling (Booker T's promotion) has a really good women's division. Hyan may be the most underrated woman on the indies and A.Q.A may be the biggest talent. There's also Jenna Lynn who is another good talent. She needs a lot of work on her presentation, but in-ring she is already good. Kylie Rae, who was trained here, has mostly moved on but still occasionally appears, and there are several other decent hands as well. You can check them out on Fite TV and Youtube. Just a heads up regarding the upcoming High Speed Title match that will be uploaded to STARDOM World soon (not a result spoiler but still). Hazuki apparently botched doing a shooting star press and landed right on her neck. It was apparently pretty nasty but she's fine. Still scary though!
