It's also ponderously slow, characters aren't balanced at all against each other, and the main character progression mechanic basically pre-supposes you're going to play the game into NG+ even though you can very easily do everything in your first playthrough and NG+ otherwise is the least NG+ possible. I don't remember the last boss basically at all, but my setup was obscenely overpowered for what the game thought was challenge. Simultaneously, if I tried using anything else I'd have been rocked into next week by even basic fights.

Kind of annoyed that the rewards you get for defeating spirits is tied directly into your power level vs the enemies power level. So if you take your 10,000 rated M. Bison and fight a 1700, you get basically nothing.

Anyone have things to say about Just Shapes and Beats? I saw one stage on YouTube and it looked real cool but I’m open to differing opinions. How does it feel, control-wise?

I really liked the game! The controls feel pretty tight, and each stage is mostly just learning the patterns. The story is surprisingly cute and better than I expected. Even if you have difficulty with stages, there's an easier mode which is perfectly fine to just play and chill. I recommend getting it if the visual and audio aesthetic interests you.

Yeah, I wanted to treat LA Noire as an HD remake of Police Quest, but I had way more fun with Police Quest. That being said, c'mon, we need an HD remake of Police Quest

Apparently there was a patch that came out between the initial release and when it finally shipped on Switch that changed the final boss to be way harder. But my build basically literally couldn't defeat it at max level. So I said gently caress it.

This is such a weird problem that I cannot google it. My Joycons seem to stop working at times when entering certain menu prompts when I DO NOT have an internet connection. The fix is to hit the home button and go back to the game and the controller works. This happens in Smash when I get a tutorial screen when seeing something new and have to press a to advance. It also happens in Smash when I get to to a prompt to enter text on the keyboard. Or when I go into the profile page on the system menu. The joycons just don't respond to anything. However, I don't have this problem if I have an internet connection. I did not notice this before the most recent system update
