Violet Evergarden is kind of a mess if you look at the overall narrative, but it also had an episode that made me bawl like a tiny three year old, and there's not a lot of other shows I watched this year that can say the same.

Hello ADTRW I am searching for a 1 shot manga from a few years ago, that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me. Basic synopsis: Humanity is dying out so they build a gigantic tower of babel repository down in the Antarctic that is managed by an AI. They also shoot off a few robot spaceships to search for habital planets. The tower is basically a seed vault that contains the DNA of all living things. The one-shot spans the course of like 100,000 years as the AI tries to constantly rebuild the tower as it deteriorates over time. You see the last remnants of humanity try to break in. The AI sending out rovers to collect nuclear fuel. The giant tower broken down to just the last few levels as it harvests itself for parts. Finishes with the 'return' of humanity via giant spaceship angel robots that come to collect the DNA to start life over again on other planets. Only other thing of memory is that one of the characters draws a peko-chan tongue motif on the AI mainframe to give it a personality  Anyone know it?

Video of Shield Hero is up and the comments section is about what you'd expect. https://youtu.be/VKYmpq-V3Rs Not gonna lie, stuff like this and GS offend and disgust me more than Uzu maid and How not to Summon a Demon Lord, both being comedies or at least attempts at them help since it's clear that the viewer is supposed to find the maids actions as loving weird a creepy. Whether it succeeds is another matter and doesn't change that a lot of on screen stuff is...not ok. Demon Lord Summon just seemed like the usual comedic wish fulfilment stuff, but this time being the Demon Lord instead of the hero. GS and Shield Hero just have this strange thing where it feels like the authors just seem to loving HATE women. Like all of the worst violence in GS is always consistently thrown at women and often times depicted in detail and Shield Hero has different kinds of issues in that front, but both have this really ungodly gross feel going on about it's depiction of women. Like they aren't the first or even the worst, but they are the most popular with Shield Hero getting a 2 cour so yeah. Edit: There was a vid on my feed by some guy named Weaponized Nerd Rage about the Live Action Cowboy Bebop being woke with the usual SJW Globalist nonsense in the comments. If I remember correctly the book starts after Violet is gets good at her job and doesn't reveal that she's not a robot until it flashbacks. I have zero idea why they changed it cause I was kinda lost at what they were trying to do without that context lol

Is it only isekai if they die? Otherwise: Magic Knight Rayearth And I don't know exactly what the setup in Grimgar is (the part that was animated didn't reveal it) the cast is three guys and two girls from our world in a fantasy (or maybe fantasy game) world. Their memories are super vague and confused

I was reading a LN-adaptation manga called uhhh, drat these long isekai titles are tough to remember, something along the lines of "I will save up 20,000 gold coins in the other world" and the trick to this one is she can go between worlds at will, so the first thing she does after finding this out is go back to Earth and get a gun. Then she charms a nobleman and opens up a store in town selling things from Earth. Since the coins are real gold she can turn them into Yen and is just using the other world as a retirement fund.
