Me crush ass to dust

The best snow leopard footage I've ever seen is on Planet Earth 2. Watching them stalk around in the snowy mountains is awesome. But that video of them acting like kittens is right up there.

Orange cats are wonderful. There is a sweet orange boy named Tomas who lives on my street and he will run after you yelling if you dare to walk by without petting him.

TinyKittens have the cutest orange kitten in their care at the moment, along with his 2 black and 2 tabby siblings. And they'll all be up for adoption!

Theory on why some people's cats upthread are suddenly going bonkers for carrot bags.

The compound in catnip that makes it catnippy is Nepetalactone, which is a decent insect repellent/insecticide. If those carrots are organic it's possible it was used to keep the bugs off while they were growing. :eng101:

LOL. I think it came to its human to demand its human retrieve the ball. That was a very intense tortoise at the end there.

Tortoises like to chill, like a lot of reptiles. Also like a lot of reptiles, when they want to actually go, they go surprisingly fast. But if you don't see them moving fast, it's easy to think it's because they can't, really, given their shell and stubby legs.

Megillah Gorilla posted:

Also this. Galapagos tortoises don't need to catch anything and don't need to run from things. Eggs and hatchlings get eaten by hawks (and nowadays introduced feral animals), but nothing really threatens the adults; the biggest cause of death for mature Galapagos tortoises is falling or sliding somewhere they can't get out of. So why hurry? And, of course, they were pretty famously described, so lots of people think of them first.

"This Racoon peeping thru my dad's window at his raccoon figurines."

quote:

EDIT: this raccoon is a regular around his house. My dad owns another house in another city and the renters complained of a raccoon in the attic and told my dad they were going to kill it if they caught it. He would never stand for that, so he set a trap and stuck around so they wouldn't kill it. He caught it and took it home so it wouldn't return to the attic and get killed by the tenants. He let it go by his house and he said every once in a while, he will see him digging in his trash or drinking out of the pool (which my dad loves BTW). He sent me this picture the other night and said "Look who still loves me!"
