Honestly, the invention of currency isn't that bad and is actually pretty important invention historically. And the oil is just their best means at the moment. Once Senku has the means to switch to better energy alternatives, I have no doubt he'll move to make the switch. Interestingly to me, while Senku is chief now, he'll eventually have to work out what they're going to do in terms of government once the number of un-petrified people gets big enough. He's able to lead them now thanks to Gen's help, but how will this work in the future?

Really it would have been cool to have Senku level the actual fundamental civilization a bit first. Introduce agriculture, irrigation, looms, etc. Guess that's not super exciting.

It's cute that Taiju doesn't go "I've never seen this side of her!" and be shocked with Yuzuhira's quirks. Dude already knows the girl he likes pretty well.  Also I laughed that Senku and Kaseki even included a cup holder in the loom. It's the tiny details that make this manga amazing.

This chapter had some amazing facial expressions. I gotta see this animated in a couple years. Yuzuriha going apeshit is the highlight, but that final page is a strong contender.
