Giving people a layout of writing in incredibly homogenous ways so people can't or won't write a latex fetish fic or some poo poo is also weird. It's like how Capcom had multiple games where you were allowed to do stuff in street fighter but they got tired of people writing the latex fetish fic combo one too many times and decided you are allowed vanilla combos and the occasional big titty combos and made it so you were only allowed to enjoy one of those two things. Now that I've written it, idk what this analogy actually is.

What a crock. There's only one true method to avoid having your character shipped or fetishized by even the worst internet perverts: Making them so bland, boring, and generic that no one cares about them. And even that won't work all of the time, if the character has any kind of orifice that can be penetrated.

I bought Melty Blood on sale a bit ago because everyone keeps saying how rad it is. As much as i'm loving Tekken and Soul Calibur, i'm feeling nostalgic for having a fun 2d game to mess around in and tried firing it up. The game is refusing to recognize my controller or arcade stick, which is kind of a downer. I'm mainly using a hori fighting commander. I've googled the problem but failed to find any solution that works for me. I've never had to deal with a controller not working through steam yet, and i'm also kind of an idiot, so i'm at a loss on how to fix this. If someone can help me figure this out I promise that I'll play a bunch of Melty Blood as thanks.

Try setting it up on that Big Picture controller setup, that usually works. But yeah, if you wanna play people in MB you kinda have to get CCaster and the...alternative version.

I wasn't intending to get competitive about this, I just wanted to mess around in a cool 2d fighter offline for fun, because I like 2d fighters but none of the current ones really float my goat. Also I've tried the big picture fix already and all it did was make it so my keyboard also doesn't work in game. I'll try searching the reddit though, thanks for that.
