There's accounting for traffic by giving yourself some extra time, and there's completely unpredictable events like your driver just leaving the bus. If your taxi driver gets out of the car to help someone else for 20 minutes, it's no different.

Public transportation is an insanely valuable public good that gets constantly undermined by shitheads who don't have to depend on it to get to work and to wherever they need to go. Secondly there is literally no evidence that the picture is depicting what it says it is, almost certainly didn't happen (how would a bus driver even know, from traffic, why or even if the little girl was crying in the first place?) Bus drivers are hard-working people who put up with a lot of poo poo for frankly not near enough recognition for doing the job they're paid to do, they don't need you going around perpetuating the notion that public transportation is generally unreliable so you can warm your heart with a dipshit r/upliftingnews meme that was probably made up wholesale in the first place by the voyeur who took the photo and slapped a caption on it
