Money can't buy happiness but it sure can produce a loving shitload of supers and inject enough pilots that anyone who has a half a pulse and wants to fly a super, can, and quantity is a quality all its own.

Fleets are awesome, losing poo poo is fun and making money to buy welpable funboats is dead easy once you move to Delve. I'd probably hang out in Karma Public in game and talk to a few people in that channel about where to go once the beginning part of the game starts to lack interesting things to do. Which arm of the GSF you actually go with is of course up to you, no matter where you land there are tons of people on comms who will help you broaden your horizons and learn new things to do. I don't even miss Highsec anymore. If you like PvP, can learn how to move in a group and don't mind a bit of monotony in grinding for funds for the good poo poo the game will be good to you. The people you connect with are the real draw, and we have some of the best people I've ever encountered in every major role that touches the day to day experience. From structures I can use but don't pay for to training to free ships and the Ship Replacement Program to the dozens of exceptionally cool people on comms that will quickly become people that matter to you even when you aren't in game. I can not recommend this game enough. Edit: I watched Eve for 15 years before installing, waiting until June of '18 when the solo PvE ads hit my FB stream and I caved and installed. That dude is making one key mistake in his argument. He's assuming we're like PL and deploy to poo poo on people for no reason. We're happy to sit in Delve and crunch rocks unless there's someone who needs to get slapped in the face for past crimes. Does it get any better with the pvp aspect? no other than the rare idiot no one will engage you solo without ECM and/or logi alts on standby and even if they do they are probably bait for someone's capital group Other than some niche stuff like chasing people around in complexes (and even that is dying) solo PVP is mostly a thing of the past group PVP generally again, involves people refusing to engage unless they have alts to help them/caps to drop on you, or at a larger scale, following hundreds of people around and mashing F1 when told to do so

Back on Eve after a fairly long break, holy poo poo is Hisec boring. I used to have fun stealing wrecks from PIRAT in Amarr but they seem to have moved on. Made my first billion doing that. Are there any decent wars going on at the moment?

It does, but anything counts, including a POCO in an abandoned C1 nullsec static wormhole. It's not a particularly meaningful requirement on the part of the attackers.
