The rewards are nice, some more Lanugos would be great, but after a couple days of only having natural AP to work with I'd rather they just turn on the bots, crank up the speed and let us get on with punching out Solomon already. Especially since, going by the tracker, there's no way we're even gonna come close to finishing Andromalius by the end of the year on our own.

The trash heap was definitely needed mats-wise, both Lanugos and Lanterns were in very short supply for me. But I also finished my needed thresholds yesterday so I'm more or less ready to move on as well. I imagine they will turn on the gas in a day or two and conveniently finish on either 12/30 or 12/31 morning.

JP was swimming in apples due to all the technical issues that plagued the game's first year or so, and Christmas isn't as relevant culturally, so they probably weren't as busy with preparations and large family gatherings. Yeah, at this point, nobody's using apples so they can farm goddamn Andromalius, I'm matblocked on things I cannot possibly get any more. Everything being equal, I could do maybe ten runs against him a day on natural AP and the only reason I even bother is because I'm getting 1,001 bond per battle out of it. In other words, release us from this hell, Kill Bots.

I've been out of the FGO loop since Halloween and now I have no idea what's going on. I'm still on Camelot and I know that Babylon came out. What is this demon pillar farming and gondor calls for aid thing going on with the servants? Should I be trying to rush through Camelot to catch up?

There's currently a time-limited event farming node that drops Dust, Lanterns, Tears and Lanugos. It requires you to complete Babylonia to access it, but it's only available for another 3-4 days so you probably won't get much out of it at this point even if you rush.

They just released the big final boss event that ends part 1 of the story. It’s the part that comes after Babylon. It has some raid quests against demon pillars that give good droprates for some mats, which is what everyone has been talking about. You’re probably too late to partake of the raids, but the event itself is a story chapter and doesn’t go away, so there’s no real rush for you. I would try to work on the story when you have time, though. The first limited time event that requires part 1 to be finished hits in late spring.

However, if you are not then you don't need nearly as many. I ended the first Halloween event sitting on over 150 IIRC, and still haven't dipped too low overall, especially since I've been topping off in other events.

I only need a little over 200 lanterns now for the Servants I want in the future. I am now at 188. Since I'm not even guaranteed to get those Servants in the future, I'm perfectly fine for lanterns. There are mats that you need basically infinity quantities of, looking at you, Dragon Fangs and Void Dust, but lanterns aren't one of them.

There has GOT to be a way that I can OTK this stupid pillar. I can sense it in my blood and I've poured dozens of kills into this thing with varied comps trying to delete it in a singe round before it erases all my buffs. I wish that I'd loved Chloe harder and that she was at more than Bond 5.

My Robin can do it, but he's bond 10 with a maxed Golden Sumo. With that and a Mikon and Waver he does about 800-850k so it's just over that line.

^it looks like your best options are Orion, chloe, Robin Hood, Heracles, tamamo , and waver, depending on their individual bond levels. Maybe something like Orion + Robin Hood on the front line, and use the plug suit to give them both waver and tamamo buffs. Or give them stronger CEs and get more NP charge from double waver.

He might not be able to get away with a true OTK but I feel like Herc, Waver, and a friend Merlin should be able to dent the poo poo out of the dude. Especially since Waver would let you put something like Golden Sumo on Herc. As noted, plugsuit stun can help give you an extra turn of having the buffs up if the cards don't come up good on turn 1.
