QC is easy to explain: it's easily digestable and nice. Something you can consume easily for two minutes as a soothing distraction. Doesn't engage the brain, yet still mildly entertains. It's comfortable because the basic premise is that these guys are fine and everything will be okay and all shall be well. Basically it's the decent sitcom you put on TV and veg to, and that's okay because we occasionally need something to veg to.

i like qc because as i've got older and met more writers/makers i've started to realise that for some people an intense bond with their imaginary friends is a vital coping mechanism and qc is just an elaborate psychological wellbeing exercise maintained over many decades that happens to make some nerds horny

Soooo I've followed He Is A Good Boy from the beginning, and I just... Don't think I get what it's about? I like some individual character moments and isolated stories, but I don't really understand what the point of the convoluted plot about alternate timelines and such is. Someone please help me understand how all that is integral to the story of a shiftless loser who doesn't want to grow up? It clearly means a lot to KC Green, seeing how much effort he's putting into explaining it, but it's just washing over me.
