MLW before it’s rebirth was a weird mix of ROH and ECW where they got absolutely no one giving 100%.

So Saturday night in the world of indie wrestling we saw Trevor Lee retain the CWF Mid-Atlantic title and be announced for the next AAW show on 1/26/19 and ACH cut a promo saying we haven't seen the last of him in an AAW ring. Remember when people claimed the indies would be dead in January?

My favorite Necro Butcher thing is when he yells something in the corner after taking some weapon off his head, and the cameraman asks him whats up and his response is "I should have listened to my dad and become a loving engineer" That and I found some Necro Butcher match from a Texas indie that looked like it was someone's birthday party in front of 9 people in someone's back yard and Necro's still going all out and trying to start fights with the fans too.

The January class has been moved to February and they've decided not to sign a few people - defer it to Mae Young Classic time etc. Anyway, things are rapidly changing indie wise AEW has been signing people up to last week. The deals are kinda Lucha Undergroundesque in length - 3 years. AEW/WWE wise. Apparently, AEW ain't scared about breaching/tampering WWE contracts as they've more than enough money to face down WWE in Court. And we all know WWE contracts are bullshit. January 1st is the start of the WWE/Fox era too. Expect NXT to become an actual third brand.
