A weird thing about aging is that there's a point where you'll go "hell yeah, card me! I'm old enough to buy booze now!" When you're freshly 21 it can be disappointing to not get carded.

Then in your late 20's you get annoyed when you get carded. It's like "gently caress, I can't believe they carded me! I'm obviously old enough."

Then there comes a day when you're happy you got carded. "Horray! They think I look young enough to be carded!"
