You could go to a party in a certain neighborhood and it felt like you were partying in a literal palace, then drive ten minutes to another neighborhood and it's borderline trailerpark territory and partying in somebody's unfinished basement. i grew up in a middle class family when I was very young and I had some nice things and stuff and then my dad could not stop spending and we lost it all and by the time I moved out when I graduated college we had gone from doing pretty decent to living in a run down RV in rural texas its so weird remembering a somewhat decent time in my life and not having to worry about anything day to day and going toward just wondering when I could eat like I often had to choose between having some breakfast or lunch or having gas money for school that day.
