Other than State of the Union, he hasn't had any primetime addresses has he? I think one announcing Gorsuch and that's it. Cause I feel like if he had, it'd be funny and I'd remember it somehow.

Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital does not accept private insurance. It’s the trauma center at the heart of the city. If you get taken there with private insurance, RIP your finances as you get charged tens of thousands, even while unconscious.

That's an interesting and mentionable point, not the least of all because, if he is denied the time, certain people will probably decry 'not fair'. I believe (specially reinforced by your statement) that these certain people will be wrong. I still don't think planning an address without their buy-in is an unethical decision, but I am happy to be armed with this rebuttal to potential outcry, so thank you!

They then linked to a known photo of Ocasio-Cortez’s feet and implied that the feet in the r/drama post couldn’t possibly belong to her. 2019 is off to a great loving start

MA-Horus posted:Wait, what? How does this work? Even though you have insurance through whatever stupid loving system you guys have, they won't accept it at all? Correct. It’s not uncommon for certain specialists within a hospital to be out of major networks. It is very rare for an ER to be out of all private networks. Roughly 99% of ERs are in at least the major private networks. Zuckerberg General is one of those rare hospitals that is not, and it is the only level 1 trauma hospital in San Francisco. FWIW, it was out of network before changing its name to Zuckerberg General. But lol, maybe consider declining to have your name on a hospital after you donate to them to avoid having every angry medical bill receiver see your name at the top.

Man what a time to be alive.quote:The photo, as well as the feet, actually belong to Sydney Leathers, a political activist and cam model who you might recall from Anthony Weiner’s sexting investigation in 2016. Leathers confirmed in a Twitter direct message that the original photograph does, in fact, belong to her and features her feet. “That pic is a few years old and now reaffirms my current stance of no longer posting feet pics unless dudes pay me for it,” Leathers told me.

Each provider negotiates with each insurer, if they don't come to an agreement the provider can choose not to accept that insurer or the insurer can choose not to cover that provider. Yes, the process is as inefficient and complex as it sounds

MA-Horus posted:Wait, what? How does this work? Even though you have insurance through whatever stupid loving system you guys have, they won't accept it at all? Its so they can bill the patient for a massive amount as well as the insurance company. ie; say a typical insurance negotiated rate for something is $10,000. The hospital charges the patient $30k. Insurance pays the hospital $10k because thats what they believe the fair rate for it is. The hospital now goes after the patient for the remaining balance of $20k. By not accepting any insurance they can just balance bill everyone.
