pick whichever one that pisses you off the most. Owen won by a margin in my internal calculations and if you asked me again, I'd might say the same. Both are terrible and the root cause of both is the placate the ego of the one person in the company that could make any change. Vince McMahon.

Owen's death is a symptom, not the disease. Not to downplay how horrible Owen's death and everything around it was, I just think the bigger picture is the bigger problem.

Owen Reasoning: independent contractor status is bad and responsible for a lot of stuff in this tournament and is super hosed And maybe you could talk about Owen dying being not unrelated And then I thought about; and WWF knowingly, after being told what they were doing was dangerous and will probably get someone killed, by a professional, decided to do it anyway, and were well on their way to killing 3 instead of 1 There’s negligence, and then there’s the Owen poo poo

I went with independent contractor because the stunt would have never happened if Owen was an employee. Also, the malicious intent pushes it over the top for me. Owen died due to wild negligence but the independent contractor status is very clearly thought out and remarkably hurtful. Hardest match of the tournament so far and I gotta say the slight underdog status of independent contractor made me think pretty hard about why it could be worse and that convinced me away from my initial gut reaction.

I have a tough time feeling too sorry for Melanie after the interview Pillman's daughter did a couple of years ago. Meanwhile, Snuka beat his girlfriend to death, Vince knew for decades, yet still put him on television on a semi-regular basis.

"Oh yeah, one time Jimmy Snuka murdered his girlfriend and Vince and the WWE covered up her murder." In a twisted way I think we're kind of desensitized to that one in a way a lot of people weren't about Pillman because they hadn't really thought about it before this.
