Mayor Dave posted:Just don't teach in Saudi Arabia, my dad went and it loving suuuuucked oh yeah it sounds loving awful, but i've met a couple people that did it and walked away with like 120 grand tax free by tutoring on the side too, which if you're drowning in student loans is probably worth a year stuck in a lovely hot compound where you can't drink / date / go anywhere / do anything vs years living with roommates, eating ramen, and freaking out about getting sick and going bankrupt i also met a backpacker last month that made like 3k a month teaching in yemen, which uh, sounds like an experience
