Intruder posted:Also the logistics and infrastructure of getting the materials and equipment where they need to be Yeah that was a huge part of the thing I read about the expected figures being hella low. There are no roads or any sort of infrastructure to reach the vast majority of that land. Building out the supply chain would cost tens of billions of dollars and basically be wasted money once this one project was complete. The cost estimates that have been done so far are only factoring in materials and labor. Not the fact that they’re building this thing in the middle of nowhere.

Ironically, it would be a better investment to an interstate caliber highway along the border. Can we convince him that the median is The Wall?

And hilariously tons of US territory would be on the wrong side of the wall, isolating US citizens and presumably making it easy for people to cross the actual border and give birth to US citizens unless they're going to continue manning the actual border in which case what purpose does the wall serve

MY NIGGA D-LINK posted:There is no loving way he's building a 2000 mile wall, steel slat fence or whatever his idiot base thinks he's going to do for $5bil. If he does the 30' high concrete wall, just think for a full 20 seconds about how much concrete that is. Now do it for steel. Really imagine just how much material that entails. Now think about the labor on a federal project of that size at Prevailing Rate due to the Bacon-Davis Act. Now think about how long it would take to complete it. And since they haven't done adequate planning for all 2000 miles, think of how many change orders you are going to get. I honestly don't even know if 5 bil gets you 200 miles, much less 2000.

Yeah. The problem is real high up the hamstring though so I guess I wasn't getting that area good enough. Didn't have this problem when I was doing yoga but due to time constraints in the 2nd half of 2018 I dropped it so... Gonna not test anything for awhile and put yoga back on the schedule

Another company bought my company and my branch is one of 2 pilot branches to merge. That happened on Thursday, I'm still working at my original salary though I might have gotten a bump oright not of. It is legit not clear if I am a new company employee or old employee at this time. I don't report to the local new company manager but all of my employees do. They are working on transferring me, but in the meantime my duties are to "help". My former GM may not be my GM also. It's so loving weird. Oh and they took my building for the merge because it was better. And I still have full access. My employees uniforms have changed and they rebranded my trucks. It's so loving weird. Flikken fucked around with this message at 18:55 on Jan 12, 2019 |
