I am not a big fan of laptops, but I rarely am "on the go" in any sense that I would need one, and I just have a monster desktop with 2 huge monitors at home, and then a 10" kindle fire and a cell phone I use when I'm out, and a desktop at work. I've had laptops in the past and still have access to a work laptop if I need it for a meeting or something, but mostly with laptops I inevitably end up frustrated because either: A. The laptop is underpowered and slow and won't do things with the speed my desktop can or B. At one time a few years ago I made the mistake of buying a "gaming" laptop, which was pretty awesome power wise but weighed in at about 7 pounds and had a very low battery life and largely was just a desktop replacement that you could move around if you had to for about double the price of a similarly spec'd desktop. I have been messing around with the steam link a bunch recently though and I'm really impressed by it with the exception of the fact that it keeps dumping my controller connection once every couple weeks (which requires plugging in some other control device and then removing and re-adding the controller). It seems like virtually no lag on a wired connection. I may put one on my upstairs TV as well and give it a shot over wireless.
