Lol in other news. Stena Fastigheter wants the government to create a new cheap loan for youths so they can buy their apartments!!! And once again the ruling class proves that they dont know poo poo about the economy and didnt learn the lesson from 2008, or that they dont care.
Lol pieces-of-poo poo-newsoutlet Omni filed it as a opinion piece about valet 2018, "överrenskommelsen" for some reason.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong with the government helping people into debt to purchase housing at the cheap rate of 3x gross median monthly wage per square meter

Very important to bail out the real estate developers who thought that solidity was just a number in the books.

The entire Karolinska / Torsplan is a monument to Public-Private Coops. A dumb, insanely expensive monument to management consultants coupled with a tower of luxury property that looks like the worlds most fiber enriched poo poo.

Svenselius, Oscar, and Melvin Samson should all be mining iron ore outside of Korpilombolo for the rest of their lives.

So V will vote gold on Friday to this deal, but will call a no confidence on a moment's notice if the worse parts of the January Agreement come into effect?

And he says they will be a left opposition.

V have a long tradition of rolling over and baring their throat when their master growls.
And in this coalition everyone will get to be the opposition.

Basically V doesn't want to catch crap for allowing Uffe to build his nazi coalition, and by doing this they'll be poo poo on short term by their voters, but they'll have opportunity to be an opposition to the government if they step too far out of line and also work with unions and workers now that its obvious S don't care about them other as a stepping stone. For V it's short term loss and hopeful long term gain by letting S through, and they'll shatter the block politics, which might be to their benefit as well.

Of course, playing politics like this is exactly what makes people disillusioned and give up on politics and vote on angry loud fascists in desperation so...

I think it would be very dumb for V to support this deal. Populism is the name of the game in the current age, and V should act based on clear socialist principles and ideology. By engaging in "practicality-based politics" they are essentially depriving the Swedish population of a populist left alternative, which not only is a huge missed opportunity, but will ultimately benefit the far right.

Every time the new unholy coalition gently caress up, which they will on a regular basis (ie see last 4 years ), V will get asked by SD why they are protecting S-MP-C-L and not the workers?
Remember that SD is the second most popular party in LO and among those with little education.

Also, once the current coalition have been accepted, the only threat V has left is the nuclear option due to how the budget process works. Unless of course you want V to vote on M-KDs budget proposal?

Beyond what Cardiac just mentioned, another big problem is that a decision this decisive will split the activist base right in half. Some will rationalize and push on, others will (much along the line of Rutkowskis reaction) be de-moralized beyond short-term return from such an obvious capitulation on election promises. Say what you want about SD but they at least realize that risk-avoidance over principles is not a good political strategy.

I'll be interested to see if Gothenburg and Malmö take this laying down or if there's another challenge to the party executive around the corner.

Shouldn’t V be full of wannabe Skyttedals?
MP had their internal rebellion last term, which amounted to little.
C is apparently a cult following Lööf, which have kicked out dissenters.
As for L, I guess the issue is to get them to actually agree on anything.

gently caress this proposed government, nothing good will happen, SD will grow, people will become homeless, thrown out and the rich get richer.

You'll have to remember that V in Gothenburg basically had this choice (voting through an S budget with no influence) and opted for telling them to gently caress off instead. For reference, I didn't like that decision but it stemmed from the same feeling of being taken for granted.

To draw similar parallels, V Malmö stormed out of its municipal block with S+MP last term due to aggressive cut-downs to public services which S refused to compromise on.

His comment is so goddamn stupid in context that I suspect it was in his speech for the event where she’d actually be dressed in red, but decided to go with it regardless. Can’t claim that logic is part of the nazis’s usual repertoire.
