John Wick 3 is going to set some kind of unbreakable cinematic record for most headshots in a single film.

And I will be there opening night.

There's no handheld in there*. It's all locked off or stabilised. The lens angles and depth of field gave it away for me.
I did Google it just to make sure.

this is interesting to me because in thr last lockout i got into an argument with a pro-ownership dude whose whlle thing was the owners putting the infrastructure of the league together. i said if you took these players and strapped some webcams on poles at a street court, millions would watch that poo poo.

I don't mind the look, but I wonder what the point of shooting on a phone was, beyond him just enjoying it. For Unsane it made sense with the main character's point of view, but this seemingly has a regular movie type narrative and style.

I wonder if the general population will notice.

I was wondering why they chose such a deliberately claustrophobic cinematography even in what looks like wide open spaces. I'm willing to believe it's also a narrative choice, cause this is goddamn Soderbergh, but it feels weirdly off when cut in a trailer.

So I learned Latin forever ago, so I was pretty sure Parabellum meant something like “prepare for war”. Looking it up, it apparently does mean that (makes sense, since that’s mentioned in the trailer), but also is the proprietary name for a type of automatic firearm? That’s a fantastic title for the movie.
