Not only are the colours hard to distinguish, but they don't even preserve the same country-order.

Why in the name would they randomize the bar order per food group? You'd have to go out of your way to do that. If they were by rank it would make sense in a stupid way but theyre not!

All the food groups have the bars arranged from lowest to highest. Not random, but still really dumb.

The original idea was that we'd add a new star AND a new stripe to the flag every time there was a new state. This lasted up till the 15 star, 15 stripe flag: This was the star spangled banner that flew over Fort McHenry and inspired the words that would later become our national anthem. In 1818 we decided that adding new stripes was loving stupid and went back to 13. I'm sure there's a very slightly different alternate reality out there where everything is the same except the US has a ridiculous looking flag with 50 stars and 50 stripes.

The vast majority of supposed generational traits are just age related and don’t stick with the generation as it ages. Soon it will be the Post‐Millennials who kill industries, unless the writers of those Hot Takes have died off by then.

Hot take: The Soviet Union won the flag war as soon as they had that flag consisting of a bear tearing an atom in half. The US lost the flag war once someone thought the old Pocatello flag was acceptable in any way, shape or form.
