unless foreign ministers and state governors and the Architect of the Capitol can come in and give a speech at any time they want, it doesn't give the president authority to do poo poo

I’m not asking for obscure pictures of some secret operative rigging the vote for some local elected tribal leader or something. I’m actually curious if there is evidence that our new CIA torturer in chief is revisiting the classics to try to control a South American country and if there is actually evidence to support it beyond spurious assumptions because the dude that is seizing power happens to want to do things that will make him liked and supported by the Western world.

We had almost real time confirmation of astroturfing during the Arab spring, and social media and real time on the ground reporting by civilians has only gotten more widespread. He’s making claims that should be supported by evidence and I’m curious if it actually exists. But I’ll go read the Venezuela thread instead.

I think the protests are legitimate and real but also the Trump admin does not have good motivations in what they’re doing. The situation in Venezuela is grim.

I mean, it's definitely not a very common circumstance, but it's not hard to imagine the Trump administration and popular protests in Venezuela both having the same opinion, for different reasons: a) Maduro frames his authoritarian rule in pseudo-leftist trappings and therefore is hated by capitalist and especially by reactionary forces in the United States, but also b) he's loving terrible and revolting against authoritarian leaders is good. This isn't even the first time Trump's blundered into being... not-wrong... about foreign policy-- remember troop withdrawals? Obviously the Trump administration isn't talking about withdrawing troops from our forever wars for good reasons (as with this case, part of it is posturing for a domestic audience), and whatever they do they're going to do in the worst possible way, but troop withdrawals are a good thing taken broadly.

Right, I just remember when Cohen was fighting the search of his office by claiming client confidentiality, but he only had a few legitimate ones. The only name I could remember was ole' squinty.

Wow, checking into it, I also forgot that Michael Cohen, Elliot Broidy and Steve Wynne all has to resign from the RNC due to their corruption. Way to go RNC, they've been having a helluva time lately. Even Rona Romney-McWhatever lost one of her names to the turmoil.

It's entirely possible Cohen's only two real clients were Hannity and Trump. But since hiding a mistress isn't illegal (unless you do it all stupid like Trump) there would be no reason to pierce Hannity/Cohen's client confidentiality and we'll never know what exactly Cohen was doing for Sean.
