Senate is voting right now on the president's plan to reopen the government. Needs 60. Is currently 42 yes to 46 no so it's dead. Mitt Romney just voted yes for it. Afterwards they'll vote again on the clean CR passed by the house. E: Only republicans to vote no so far are Cotton and Lee. Dems voting yes: Manchin. Can someone tell me how this isn’t as bad as Turtle blocking every other bill that’s been brought up? As I understand, this was a clean bill solely for the coast guard to get paid, but feel free to correct me.
