nes metroid was made by r&d1, the division headed by gunpei yokoi. nintendo REFUSES to make more 2d metroid games as becasue of shigeru miyamoto's hatred for gunpei yokoi that he still feels now even though he personally murdered yokoi 25 years ago

prime 1 is really good, 2 is alright, never played 3 but ive seen videos and it has way too much talking in it for a metroid game so i blame it for nintendo thinking other m was a good idea

I liked Prime 1 a lot but I never beat it. That's on me though, I am a low skill gamer and I couldn't beat the phazon pirate boss and gave up.

Metroid prime final boss was an intense fight, kinda gimmicky with the beam switching but still fine Then every single boss in metroid prime 2 was an exhaustive gimmicky boss that took forever

Prime 2 is good. Retro's worst game is Prime 3 and that game is still pretty good overall. Their hit/miss ratio is fantastic

They said "all the Prime talent left" to make their own studio and they made a Vita 2D batman game that nobody on the planet played and then that early access microsoft robot game and I think died. And Retro made Donkey Kong. so dont trust everything you read

Most of the fourth wall breaking eternal darkness effects probably don't make sense on modern tv's lol The volume down one genuinely got me, I thought my dad had come in the room and messed with me but it was just the game. Very spooky Pious Augustus but I still got you

Eternal Darkness has great aesthetics and atmosphere and can be very creepy at times but the combat makes it very repetitive. i tried playing it last year i think and gave up halfway through because i was just doing the same kind of tedious things over and over again.
