just finished monsters inc, heading to frozen land. before i get there i need an opinion i'm already playing on Proud and it still feels fairly easy, i'm debating starting a new game and staying level 1. my save riht now is like 10 hours but im pretty sure that's about 3 hours of gameplay in 10 hours does level 1 locking honestly make a huge difference?

You need 'a high score' in each one which you can get by getting the second stage and then intentionally dying since there's no starting score to beat. Hell you might even just be able to quit out, I dunno if it still counts it then. Finding them all is harder.

Maleficent is so good at exuding menace; no matter how many times she fails, I can't help but take her totally seriously, whether she's talking about controlling darkness with an ancient book of prophecies, or talking about wanting to destroy Mickey Mouse with the help of Pete. I'm so glad she's the main bad guy of this series, Kingdom Hearts.

Is there something special you need to do to bust open red crystals in the 3rd gummi ship area? Shot at one for like 20 seconds before giving up and working on other stuff.

Look, I never cared that the FF characters weren't relevant to the plot. I don't need them to be relevant to the plot, I just need to beat them up. As far as I'm concerned, this isn't Kingdom Hearts 3 until a Sephiroth boss fight has been patched in.

We get all of Let it Go but only a hint of the (better) music from Tangled? Toy Story has its theme playing through the stage, but nothing else? Huh?

I wish every song in this game was composed by Yoko Shimomura. Just 100% Yoko all day long. I’m on Pirates World and have enjoyed playing through every world so far. Yeah the story flow for Arendelle was iffy, Hans was barely introduced and just wasn’t voiced at all, but I loved exploring the mountain. The 300 crabs in Port Royale didn’t bother me because I’m combing the areas for treasure anyway, I got 500 crabs without really trying and I was mostly just absorbed with the cool pirate town I was walking around with Donald and Goofy. The level design in this game is really great and varied and the worlds are just so absorbing to explore, and Sora is a joy to control just running around places. In that area this game easily beats every other game in the series. I saw people complaining about underwater combat but it seems fine? The lack of situation commands underwater is a bit of a shame but your base combo is strong, underwater magic is pretty powerful, and you don’t lose access to guard or dodge roll at all and Sora swims pretty quickly. The only issue I’d say the world design really has is that it can be a bit arbitrary identifying what is or isn’t an invisible wall. Also a bit of conservation of detail issue, chests don’t stand out as much as they used to and some alcoves that seem like they’d hide stuff are just inconsequential bits of level geometry.

Are the people who don’t like the gummi sections upgrading their ships? I’m loving gummi combat. I really enjoyed the Tangled world and never saw the movie. Frozen worlds blows hot egg water so far but the song was very pretty. I’m sad that the FF characters aren’t around. They weren’t plot important per se, but it was your homebase crew! Leon and Yuffie and Aerith have been there for you for the two other mainline games, fighting alongside you, helping you out. They had more significant roles to Spra’s progression than any previous Disney characters, so having them all completely absent from this game feels really weird, considering how much dialogue they have in KH1/2. I’m so grateful the 100-acre wood is over so quickly this time.

Much quicker and easier than other non standard combat in thisgame.
