So a door to door salesman for a company that rhymes with SPECTRUM TIME WARNER. Has come to our house on two separate occasions. The first time he came to try and get us to switch the spectrum (which I had switched off of just a year ago) he asked me to run a speed test on my phone and see that I'm not getting the speeds I'm paying for (I pay for 100 down 50 up). Today a different man in the same outfit returned to sell again. Same exact routine. Now mind you I was on my laptop downloading large videos to edit about 30 minutes before he came and was getting a 2gb video loaded in about a minute or so. He tells me to run the speed check. And just to show him that our speed are fine and get him off my back I do it. But this time I had my screen door shut and I noticed he was leaning practically pressing into the screen door. And asking me to come closer so he could see. I didn't. I pulled 5mbs. Again these two instances are the only times I have ever pulled a speed test that slow. About 10 minutes after he left I did it again and got 70mbs.

I'm fairly certain they are using jammers to make people believe they are not receiving usable internet speeds with the carrier that most people in our area use (att). Now obviously I have no concrete proof of this. But I cannot imagine this is legal. Is there any recourse to end this filthy business practice?

First off, this is not a joke. Please do not remove this. It just might work.
I am trying to get my Neopets from my old account, (from when I was 10 years old, I am now 22) back. I managed to find my old account details and was able to get access to the old email address used for it. However, I cannot log in.
During that time, my account info got oddly corrupted, where my account name somehow became a truncated, sanitized version of my email, my birth year got shifted back one, and my listed gender got swapped. I know for sure that it's my account though. Neopets support, replying almost a year after my initial email, indicating that the account had not been used since 2006, had no email address on file, and that it was scheduled to be purged, which I believe equates with animal euthanasia.
As best I can tell, Neopets is hosted over at Microsoft Azure region US East or US East 2, which is somewhere in Virginia.

After some research, I sent the following in reply to hopefully stall them:

Thank you for your update.
I would like to speak of Neopets.com ("Your site."), as well as the collective pets Xenazap, a1135281294222, Xweetokles, and Splastane ("the animals.")
Your Site appears to be hosted on Microsoft Azure region US East 2. As such, Neopia falls under the jurisdiction of the State of Virginia. Per section 2 of Title 3.2, Chapter 65 of the Virginia Comprehensive Animal Care laws, you must abide by these rulings. I have attached a reference to the footer of this document [see reference 1]
These animals are listed on Your Site as currently under the care of the account <redacted for reddit>. This inherently means the following:
- The animals are not in custody of a local jurisdiction or animal shelter
- The animals are not properly surrendered to a local jurisdiction or animal shelter by its lawful owner (listed on the Your Site as <redacted for reddit>).
- Condition 3 is negated by the previous two conditions being false
- Neopets cannot get rabies (for which confinement is impossible or impractical)
Because The Animals do not falling under any of the conditions listed under ELIGIBILITY FOR EUTHANASIA OF COMPANION ANIMALS.
Per the local laws in Neopia, Xweetoks are legally-recognized Companion Animals. Per jurisdiction higher than yours, companion animals fall under this definition:
Species suitable to be companion animals include dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, ferrets, birds, guinea pigs and select other small mammals, small reptiles and fish. Where they may be kept legally and responsibly, domestic-bred farm animals can also be maintained as companions.
Xweetoks fall under the other small mammals which are able to be kept legally and responsibly.
If you, in full knowledge of this information, continue to purge the account, you may be found in violation of the Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine.

• The account was likely caught up in one of MANY account hacks, at which point someone went in, swapped gender and name and password and waited.
  
• Anything of worth was stripped by these people for reselling on black market, mainly 'UCs', unconverted old pets with old art that are very very rare. Some of these can go for hundreds
  
• Each pet name and account name is hard coded and can not be changed, pet colour / species can however as above there are a few super rare ones.
  
• If there was no worth the account will be resold for a few dollars on the basis of being old, or just die again as the hacker ignores it. Old accounts get minor benefits that make them worth more.
  
• "The Purge" is a very infrequent culling of old accounts where the account names and pets are now erased to be re-created, this includes frozen accounts. Like every 3-5 years infrequent.
  
• So, based on this data even if they believed him they would be reluctant to unlock the account, let alone transfer the pets anywhere
  As well TNT has a history of being useless, slow, arrogant or dismissive. People have come with credit card records and gotten told to bugger off. Their code is old and buggy. People have been frozen because someone reported them a hacker with no warning and wait weeks for anyone to look into it.
  
• Also a new account can't be transferred many pets so that's another issue.

Basically dude has a snowballs chance in Hell and needs to get over his pets. I'm still mad I gave away the best username but whatever, I have a cool battle Krawk now.
