North Ireland can't survive as a nation on its own and would need to reunify with the Republic of Ireland. There's a ton of differences and yeah, the Protestant/Catholic divide is still really strong.

BAEST MODE!!!
That was my favorite ever because it somehow led to Erick Stevens agreeing to do the show.

https://twitter.com/mongo_ebooks/status/1092088454937219074

I had to break this up into two parts because it goes 3+ hours. Part 1 goes through Gabe nearly losing his poo poo on him during the Gang Wars of 07. You might not think Erick Stevens would be a really funny interview, but he is. Great Roderick Strong stories, Gabe stories, his hatred of the Florida indies, burials of everyone who deserves it, doing TNA dark matches, it goes on and on. I can't say enough great things about Erick or thank him enough for doing this.

We started recording around 9 and we finish until after Midnight. I think I was smiling ear to ear the whole time. It was such a fun show.

Erick used to post on DVDVR, and he was funny and nice there, too.

are you talking about him confusing the invasion angle for a battle royal because seems like a pretty minor mistake
Well, yes and no. At first, watching the clip, I noticed it but didn't think it was a big deal at all to misremember it as a battle royal. But then he uses it as an excuse to go off on the booking for not playing off of an angle that didn't actually happen more directly.

I listened to this today on the way to and from work and it was great. As someone who didn't see a lot of indy wrestling in the 2000s this was very funny and informative.

I was "lucky" enough to get paid (same as what I was usually getting per-article from VICE when I was writing there regularly), though I always got the impression Bryan was personally responsible for it instead of taking it out of some kind of budget.

Whether the larger issue is them just straight up being cheap, or that they don't consider the free site content to be making them money (even though they run ads and of course it makes more people aware of the subscription site), I have no idea.
