the park in maui that got snow was still a good 6000 feet up though - albeit that's well under the 9000 foot elevation that Hawaiian mountains will routinely get snowfall at without it melting too fast to stick. heres part of that park

Well to be clear it's less a ringing endorsement of the current state of things and more just how universally one-sided things were until the ground started shifting (guessing) 15 years ago. Now in the US I would say Israel-Palestine coverage is probably on average just 25% stupider than other international coverage, i.e. almost unbelievably stupid.

I wish I wasnt poor and could travel. It would probably make me a less negative person to see more of the world that isnt consumed by winter 6 months of the year.

Normally they came up here because this side of the family is poor but my parents worked overtime and saved up for like 3 years to make that a family trip and it was awesome. I was allergic to the ocean! I should go back if I ever get the chance. Havnt seen any of that side of the family since my grandmother passed away 10 years ago.
