MercurySteam said they wanted to do it, wouldn't be shocked if they did. And yea with the Link's Awakening announcement it's clear that they're still gonna make 3DS style games.

i would have been able to tolerate killing the same four bosses over and over again if not for each area being an identical beige cave with palette swapped enemies. i know the devs didn't have much to work with, but am2r at least made an effort to make areas distinct

I'd like to see a new Metroid game vary the suit design more. I know the varia suit is iconic, but the dark suit and base fusion suit were cool (though the varia and gravity color schemes in Fusion were terrible).

Samus Returns looked like a neat and fun game, if it really is a bad game then this is the first I've heard of it. Though looking interesting to me is not exactly a high bar to clear. I find all kinds of poo poo interesting, even games that are definitely not good.

I am fine with the Playstation buttons being symbols because that keeps it in a separate file in my brain, but the Xbox and Nintendo being reverse of each other and most PC games using Xbox button prompts with no directional indicators while I try to use a DS4 on the PC is a living hell
