although like all deserts, after a ridiculous prolonged period of zero rainfall all the grease and petrol from the traffic (and we have a lot of trucks) congeals into a thick coating on the road and when it rains that turns back into oil and causes no end of problems

I work in a hotel. Honestly I didn’t do horribly, but I’m sure they’re gonna let me know what I need to do better tonight.
