Instead of just places, theme regions around time periods. Roman region where the Battle Frontier is the Coliseum, Victorian England where everyone wears corsets and giant hats, Pre-Columbus Mesoamerica with a Jaguar/Eagle warriors being the Pokemaniac class.

Also obviously M8 will be the first generation to introduce Pokemon Fusion where you stick two Pokemon together with the power of friendship. Gune and Hoyst can be fused together to create the funnest drinking game themed Pokemon ever banned from a main series game. E: the game will also be the first main series Pokemon game to receive an MA rating because every second word of NPC dialogue is "farrrrrrk"

Is there any purpose in downloading the Let's Go demo if I've already played Let's Go? Like the SM demo had some transfer stuff you can send to the main games and whatnot. Or is it just a stand alone demo?

It's a standalone demo they showed off at E3. It probably could have been released earlier if not for concern hackers would find Meltan and Melmetal. The demo covers walking from one end of Viridian Forest to the other with a modified spawn table.

When I replay these games now I can't help but take as much advantage of whatever minute things make each release unique, even between remakes. Like, I would need to use something with a Mega Evolution or Alola form in Let's Go, just like I had to have Onix on my team in FireRed because it can evolve in that game unlike the original. Same goes for Alpha Sapphire, Dusklops was a necessity because it gained a new form.

I'm the Aloha Pokemon Champion now with Butterfree dragging me over the line to victory. Also thwarted Team Rainbow Rocket. I also filled out the Gen I Pokedex in the Pokemon Bank with the exception of Mew, so I'm finally a Pokemon Master by 1998 standards! Edit: I apparently encountered a shiny male and female Rattata somewhere too according to the Bank, but I must of ran or knocked them out.
