You could Google any of these sites (and if you're a PR person, you loving should be doing your research on any unfamiliar outlet to prevent exactly this poo poo), 8chan especially, and find news reports about it being a safe haven for pedophiles. This isn't ignorance, it's a choice they made despite the nature of the site being findable in under 15 seconds of due diligence. Also, 'not being online' is no excuse for modern PR people, especially if you have a dedicated social media person.
