Been a year since I played and I can't make any sense of my old magicka nightblade. All the quests I had active are gone and the game refunded some (but not all?) of my skill points. So, I just started a new Warden until I remember how to play again, haha. Could I get an invite @lord_daeloth whenever the servers come back?

Only if it is on your visible bar at the moment you gain EXP. A trick for this is when you are doing quests load up your bar with skills that you don't use in combat just for the turn ins.

Hi posted:That seems a ridiculous thing to ban for and pretty subjective to enforce. Where do you draw the line between this guy is killing me because Im trying to stream and this guy is killing me because Im on the opposite team in a pvp zone? Stream sniping has a pretty clear definition and any game worth its salt will ban for it. If you go out of your way to gank a streamer because you checked their stream and know they're standing at exactly XYZ coordinates, then that's stream sniping. Responding to an attack on one of your faction's holdings in Cyrodiil (which everyone can see in-game) and then inevitably attacking a streamer because they're part of the opposing force, that's just playing the game. The other thing with stream sniping is that it's usually not a one and done event. The whole point is to gently caress over the streamer and their stream by keeping them out the game. Does it get easier to kill the world bosses as higher level? I just got back into this and have about everything done on the Auridon map except the bosses that practically 1 shot me as a level 20 Magicka nightblade. My gear is pretty trash I'm sure but nothing else has been very difficult to do so far.

Some world bosses are easier than others to solo for sure. You'll have to tailor your build and gear to be able to do some of them. What I'd recommend is doing the rest of the stuff and checking if anyone wants to do the entire zones world bosses at once. If not, move on and come back later.

Is there an easy explanation for how dungeon difficulty works? I got put into Fungal Grotto II last night with the random queue as a 40 something sorc. It didn't seem too much tougher than the Is I've been doing aside from needing to actually pay attention to some of the boss mechanics. We wiped a few times on the second boss until it sunk in that we need to sprint in opposite directions fast when the beams popped up linking us. Then there was the odd bit near the end where one group member just took off sprinting back to the entrance as shadow guys spawned every few feet. I assumed he knew what he was doing and followed but one of our group died a few times trying to catch up. The big spider required a few rezzes (I got knocked down into the death laser) but the final boss was easy enough. So did I complete a veteran dungeon? Or is the veteran thing independent from Is and IIs? I did read that there's a scroll in the final boss room that makes them harder.

that was not a veteran dungeon as a general rule, dungeons that have two versions are vanilla dungeons. the second version is usually longer and more difficult than the original version. DLC dungeons are generally harder than vanilla dungeons.. those are the ones down on the bottom of the LFG group finder. Veteran dungeons are harder versions of regular dungeons and will actually require you to be careful even on trash packs until you get used to the difficulty increase. Theres no real written explanation as far as I know tho. but the difficulty is (very) roughly top half of the dungeon list -> top half of the dungeon list II (if available) -> bottom half of the dungeon list (DLC dungeons) -> veteran top half -> vet top half II -> vet bottom half (DLC)

Jarvisi posted:Where can I find a good listing of heal builds? I haven't played in forever and all my poo poo got respecced. I'm a sorceror. Sorry late response but Sorc Healer is very viable through the very hardest of hard end game trials. I have done a lot on sorc but the fundamentals are still the same. You will run Lightning/Resto for weapons, 5/1/1 Light (or 5 Light 2 Heavy until your undaunted maxes out, which will not take long even if you just rando queue as a healer). Not sure what level you are, but you can start out healing in DPS gear (Julianos or Kagrenacs are both fine, and both crafted). Willpower Jewelry is cheap. Plan to run Elden Hollow II to get a Bogdan mask, and then spam the undaunted keys getting the shoulder. For gear to farm: Worm (Vaults of Madness), Spell Power Cure (White Gold Tower), and Jorvulds Guidance (Scale Caller Peak) can all be farmed on normal until you can get decent groups (for something like Scale Caller on vet is difficult). You can go to Craglorn and get into normal Cloudrest runs that take about 15 minutes, this is where you will farm Olorime which is a must have for end game content. You also can grab normal runs of the three Craglorn trials to farm Infallible Aether which is also a valuable set. Personally I would say Olo/Infal/Bogdan is a great combo for pretty much any 4 man content healer set-up. Eventually you will want to get your Earthgore set..which will be difficult unless your group is decent. For skill setup a sorc would look something like this: Destro Bar - Wall of Elements, Liquid Lightning (This is just something to feed the tank synergies), Empowered Ward, Twilight Matriarch, Ele Drain, Aggressive Warhorn Resto Bar - Healing Springs, Combat Prayer, Twilight, Inner Light, Orbs - Light Champion You can do many great things with this

As far as I'm concerned, it's between you and your immersion. For my first character I went through the Vvardenfell quests before doing anything else and it didn't matter as far as levelling, skill points, etc, went.

NWO posted:Ah, sorry dude. It's just @RandyTripod. @Randy were you able to get through that kwama delve, and did the soul gems help at all? Sorry if I confused you last night or got you killed a bunch more than you would have otherwise. I haven't had much trouble with delves but I did have sorcerer pets to back me up on the early ones and was in at least my teens before I started doing them. I'm not sure how templar soloing compares since I haven't played one past level 4 yet. Sorc pets seem to help a lot with PvE. I was in the open group dungeon Halls of the Dead in Windhelm/Skyrim last night. I followed a high level warden in as she just annihilated everything but then was on my own for the quest and its 3 boss fights. The first boss kept killing me in three hits but I was able to rejigger my skill load out and take them out with the pets tanking for me and healing me. It was a pretty good challenge, mainly because a lot of my gear is 5-10 levels below me. I need to work on that once I hit 50 tonight.

I assume the answer is no since nobody attempted it in that video, but can you clear those wall lasers by jumping over them? My favorite bosses from what I've played are Balorgh from March of Sacrifices or the Indrik preceding him. MoS is a fun, challenging dungeon, and it's surprising how much less of an ordeal it is on vet than Moon Hunter Keep, being from the same DLC.

The Tarcyr encounter is like the minitrial of dungeons. The concept is cool at the start but it gets boring as gently caress after the second time. And no, you can't jump the lasers.
