EDIT: On another note I realized last night that I did a bad job of having enough CAWs to set up my promotions, does anyone have any recommendations for Steam Workshop collections/creators that do good work? I especially need more modern Indy guys.

Finding my way around it. Big flaw, no ability to book Battle Royals. Beyond that it’s fairly simple, try to book a venue to capacity, scout for guys, sign others. You can’t control outcomes but you can play matches and try to do it that way. The default option starts with a bunch of premade guys if you don’t have enough. But I’ll have to see what I can do with customization.

How much does this DLC cost, assuming that the Steam version will cost the same as the PS4 version? I'm not *super* interested in the Fire Promoter mode, but if the cost is reasonable, I might buy it just to fiddle around with and support the game.

Unsurprisingly for an overworked, underbudgeted, understaffed dev group, FirePromoter is a bit of a tire fire right now! Apparently some people are unable to access promoter mode and some are getting japanese text in various menus. Might want to give it a day or two. When I suggested it's not that big a deal and to play something else for a bit because they're going to fix the download I was told how I'd be pissed if I ordered a pizza and it wasn't delivered on time. This DLC is Civilization-levels of addicting to me. I think I spend about four hours last night/this morning saying "just one more card". The damned Sun rose. I'm at work on 2 1/2 hours of sleep. Bugs aside, this is good.

The NL stream showed it off pretty well. First they booked themselves into oblivion in 4 months (final champion was Rosemary, who showed up in chat), and then they actually tried to book a card. Seems like there might be a death spiral effect (near the end of the disaster run they were calling in major wrestlers and still couldn't get more than ~500 people to show up, often less) but that is a) accurate to the business and b) very entertaining.

The frustrating part about Contract Negotiations is that they've apparently made it you can only try to sign one wrestler a month (compare to the GBA version which you could do it an unlimited number of times, but couldn't try to sign a wrestler in the same month that they refused), which feels like a really weird and incongruous idea, especially when even with the hints there's no way to guarantee you'll sign someone. I haven't had a chance to do anything but watch the nL stream (as i now have to cram 600+ Wrestlers into their respective promotions, plus make some more of my own) but that part to me sticks out as a big problem. If the game had you running shows weekly maybe i'd understand that change but they're still doing things on a monthly basis. EDIT: I know they added the ability to get freelancers/part-timers in easily but that's not the same. i started out with a small roster of 6, accidentally booked myself into a corner, decided to give two freelancers a tryout opening match and they both no-showed, resulting in my attendance tanking and losing a ton of money. eventually by august i was able to figure out how to manage my cards and keep my main eventers over, and started profiting 50k to 120k a show, finishing with a balance of 540k by january. my champion is cesaro and he's super over in usa and europe.
