The points aren't worth anything except as a reminder of all the time you've wasted traveling and will never get back. What? Bitter, me? Never.

Find a gig that lets you have a few weeks off a year and use those points for something worthwhile. Then when you run out of those places to go the depression really levels up!!

Payment usually only takes about 5 business days once it's approved. The points are definitely great. I just finished booking two weeks in Japan and the travel and accomodations, including hotels, first class tickets on JAL and business class on AA for the return, cost me a little under $500 for two people (using a mix of credit card, airline, and hotel rewards). But it is daunting booking a bunch of work flights at once and having a five figure statement that I'm ultimately on the hook for.

Is their normal travel agency any good? I have a fairly complex trip coming up and I really don't feel like spending 4 hours figuring out which flights to take and which hotels to stay in in each city and county.

just saying watch out for that because they will pull that bullshit on you. at the end of your booking process there's a dropdown asking what you'd like them to do with your flight reservations, ie: continue searching for better aisle, better window, etc. one of the options, which isn't default, is 'do not change any of my selections'. if you don't select it sometimes they'll just nuke your reservation to basic economy without telling you

Always check your credit card statement. I found out AA overcharged me by $4.50 on a flight I recently booked. Like literally just charge me $4.50 more; no fees or anything (they would have been reflected in the receipt anyway). Was pretty painless to fix with Amex, fortunately.sellouts posted:Goddamn I might make exec plat by April. My travel isn't THAT egregious, but I'll probably hit PP around that same time as well.

I have zero plans for requal this year and that is, sadly, somewhat distressing. Most of it stems from the fact that my work travel as of late has been mostly sporadic and when it does happen it's to DTW, so I'm constantly dueling between AA and DL. But at least I have lifetime plat with Marriott, right?

I only did three trips last year and lost all my status except some stuff from hotels via credit cards or lifetime status. Tomorrow is going to be my first flight since 2009 without any status at all. Hope nothing goes wrong because Delta isn't gonna give a gently caress if I need rebooking help.

Are their magic phrases to use contacting CS (Delta) for a credit or other compensation? Flight to LHR scrubbed due to MX and their next available booking time costs me an entire day of meetings. Found a path that mitigates my damage through AMS but still out the lodging / etc. I’m only a gold tier scrub so maybe I’ll still be told to gently caress off?

American Airlines Enhances Five Star Service with Private Airport Entrance, Security Screening and Helicopter Transfersquote:Customers in the Los Angeles or the New York areas can skip the traffic and get to the airport faster with a private helicopter transfer from Blade. When traveling with Blade, customers will be picked up in the city at a destination of their choice and flown to LAX or JFK where they’ll be greeted by an American Airlines team member and escorted via Cadillac to Flagship First Check-In. i dont think concur will let me book this option

Social media rep also offered $200, but decided to see if I could make a play to the phone line to get more. Unsurprisingly, it was a P&W engine that went broke dick.
