All the top earners get published in published in newspapers too so you can literally just look at an internet site to find out how much anyone who earned over 100k€ actually got. from personal experience shitheads on the internet if they know how much money you made from something you did as a job and did not consider it worthy of that income will be extra super lovely about it like when I explained the whole Valve sending me a 1099 tax form because I sold so much stuff on their marketplace, people(specifically: goons) came out of the goddamn woodwork to call me a money launderer, scammer, man of dubious morals etc because they did not consider what I did "normal income", or work worthy of making a lot of money. Same thing with like, doing reviews for toys/comics/etc, or drawing fetish porn for patrons, or playing video games for a living, you can't tell me you've not heard anyone say that's ridiculous that they can make a living from that. Their exact income should be their business unless they choose to share it. Why does everyone need to know? Oxyclean posted:I'm almost certain they once brought up being a bit uncomfortable with a tip jar after how generous people got with the mailbag. Ridiculous mailbags are just an aspect you have to accept of being an internet celebrity who accepts gifts. People will do that poo poo every single time eventually. Someone sent a top of the line gaming PC to a dude at Giantbomb. this dude(who I'm happy to see is now well over 1k a month from doing reviews) was super antsy about doing a patreon but it allowed him to do what he wants full time and also people send him basically any transformer(and gundam models) he could want now. He must have gotten 5k worth of gifts at this point, after less than a year of having a PO Box to send stuff to.

Having access to everyone's taxable income is probably a good thing - we have this in Brazil if you're a public servant, you can also get tax info somewhere for the general public - but I don't think Patreon being public really works the same way. First, because it's not necessarily income - there are a lot of Patreons that are FUNDED by their patrons, so that money goes towards other costs. Second, because it does tend to generate toxicity and expectations of a certain influx of content, which not every creator can or is even aiming for. I feel like being a patron means you are supporting a creative endeavor, and everyone works at a different pace and all.

Late to the party stuff, but: 1) I'm glad they spent a bit of time complaining about the game that's not out being at EVO rather then spending the time exclusively dunking on melee, after seeing a deluge of the latter on twitter with almost none of the former. 2) Billy/Mihn's joke/inadvertent sandbag game, and Woolie's total collapse in Degrees of Separation was loving aces.

"Degrees of Separation" on Woolie's Channel. The whole thing might be worth a watch because it happens several times, and the video ends with Woolie trying to walk Mihn through the process of how to do jokes. The "barrier between you and your girlfriend" setup feels like that gif where the guy is trying to sink a basket and a guy in a gumby(I think?) suit walks through the door and slaps the ball to the ground.

Woolie going back to the safe room any time he picks up an item is more frustrating than the map or his cautious pace. I liked the KOTOR LP though so I don't actually give that much of a poo poo.

It sucks that people were disliking Woolies other videos because they weren't DMC5. On the other hand, Pat just released a Five and a half hour DMC stream yesterday and at 20 minutes an episode, released every other day, it would take about a month to get to where that one video is at. By then the hype for DMC will be gone and everyone will be on the Sekiro hype train.
