I can remember doing a self defense course at school ~20 years ago and being taught how to disarm a knife wielding attacker. If they held the knife right out in front of them. With a pretty much straight arm. With the blade pointing up. And you were within a yard of them, face on and unencumbered. We thought it was pretty dumb at the time and we were just children. British, admittedly, so we knew a bit about stabbing folks for fun and profit.

LOL. Even if you know what you’re doing you *will* get cut. Probably badly, since even if you’re very skilled you’re still fighting someone with a loving knife. The best defense against a knife attack is to run. Preferably faster than the person with a knife.

If you’re like that doorman posted earlier vs the guy with the gun, you probably have pretty good odds against a knife too. Huge, quick, threat aware and capable of instant effective aggression. There’s like one of these per 10,000 population though.

Just at the idea of selling something with a face value of $2 for a bazillion percent markup to dipshits.

Jefferson really sells the "can you believe this poo poo?" I bet it's a cover they slip the bill into. Nowhere in the copy does it say it's actually on the bill. That way it's not illegal. So they paying 13 bucks for a fancy plastic envelope.

I heard it as, you can deface it all you want, but after a certain amount of the bill/coin in covered, it is useless as money and is only a decorative item. Like, an autograph is okay and still spendable, but turning George Washington into the clown from IT would be too much. I'm old, though, so they may have changed it since then.

Then the business owners decide how many fucks they give

Lame because razors are ground at a very acute angle that won't hold up to utility use, plus there's nothing stopping one from just falling open in your pocket unless you wrap a rubber band around it or have a leather sheath made for it like some kind of supergoon. Non-pointy knives are currently trendy, though. https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco-Roc-Folding-Cleaver-Knife--20410 Knives always suck rear end for defense even if you know what you're doing with one since your primary defense should be running like hell, get pepper spray or a gun or a taser or something that lets you retreat instead of getting closer to your attacker.
