I mean I know almost nothing about ships but the hull looks like it's in OK shape once it gets cleaned/rust removed/repainted + repairing the damage it took. I thought I read somewhere that they wanted to restore this ship to service.

Literally everything has to be removed and refurbed or replaced. The hull might look ok now, but it's gonna have to be hacked up a bit.
