That looks pretty awesome, looking forward to seeing how it turns out. If it makes you feel better, I went through three fuckups in 30 minutes trying to ink a piece a couple weeks ago; I get real impatient and pay for it a lot.

I started drawing this an hour ago and then half an hour vanished without anything happening on the canvas so I had to hurry this up. Need some sleep!

THUNDERDOME LOSER 2021
I've been doodling a lot over the past few weeks, making pictures of various quality.

Getting excited for the eventual new release, however long that takes.

Someone was talking about Utena in a LP thread so I felt like drawing the game's protag in my closest approximation of the early 00s Bishoujo style. I couldn't slant the shoulders like I had hoped and the whole thing started to get overworked but I like it.

I live in the UK. This is a self made politoon.

Curious to know if you drew these from life, from images or from fantasy?

Check out my enormous testicles in my TFLC log!

I started with Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and the plan is to bore you all to death with my lovely stuff. My goal is to be able to do landscapes in this style.

Truth be told: I am off from work, a mental health week, and it took me 4 days of circling the book to start. I knitted a scarf simply because I was scared to start. Life is weird.

You're on the right track; drawing from life is a great way to build skill.

 Thankyou, that's a hell of a compliment. Drawing on the Right Side is a great book, it's very much the approach I take. Practice is the #1 thing to get better at art, but good instruction on how to practice is a huge shortcut.

I'd suggest focusing on gesture more than getting each muscle right - Proko has some great stuff on that.

The drawing from memory, which is exercise #2, is left out because it was so so bad.

You deserved it, I love those landscapes.
I hope the book will give me ways to do deliberate practise, something that is trumped to be the biggest thing to improve fast.

I greatly admire your tenacity (as well as your skill).

haha, thanks! I'll freely admit that some days are a struggle, while other days the drawings draw themselves. Most of the time it's just forcing myself to put a pencil to paper (or screen) even if I don't feel like it. I think it's just starting to become a daily habit now, after 70+ days.

Like IronSaber said, I think you're on the right track. Keep at it! I especially like the hand. Try to draw daily even for 20 minutes, and you'll see improvements pretty quickly.

I did actually start off with gesture ,although it wasn't particularly great :v: Some of the flow must have been lost in translation to detail.

I like this one a lot as well as the river painting. They have the perfect amount of gesture where my eyes fill in the details, even though it's not really there.

First run of badge designs.

I'll be kicking out a lot of them for reasons that should be very obvious when you look at them, inking and roughcolouring the rest, then cut it down to five designs out of the ones I liked and finishing them. Hopefully.

Another exercise, it felt redundant as the book kept rambling about the awesome click you would make but I think I have been drawing to long to be a full newbie. However, I am following the book as to have pointers what to draw and so here I go. The grey tones are part of the exercise.
